Overview
Digital Cheetah creates volunteer software solutions designed to enhance non-profit’s efficiency and volunteer engagement. If a volunteer or member organization uses Digital Cheetah's volunteer or member management system, the Cheetah app is the fastest way to access Digital Cheetah. The app allows the volunteers or members to access their directory, calendar, activities, notifications, and even check-in to events and shifts. It is available for Apple and Android mobile devices.
Challenge
The idea behind the app was to allow volunteers to have quick and easy access to their volunteer portal. For most of the clients that are using that app, the volunteer’s time is essential. From research, we found the volunteer needs to get the information and move on, no time to browse the app and find what they’re looking for. Everything they need must be at the forefront, whether it’s finding out the date and time of their next shift or getting notified of a location change for the upcoming shift. The true challenge was to minimize clicks and time spent on the app while maximizing usability and ease of use.
Role
On this project, I was the lead UI designer in charge of redesigning the digital cheetah app. The existing app had been in production for several years and when I came onto the team, one of my first projects was to redesign the interface.
Process
Since the core functionality and navigation was already set, I could focus on the user interface. I realized I needed to create a color palette that was neutral because many clients using the app needed their version to be branded and customized to their specifications.
Outcome
The final result was a beautifully designed app that our users loved. Based on the research and feedback from our clients, we redesigned an existing app and made it much more user friendly. The app was designed in a way to easily customize colors and images so that a client could brand it. I have branded apps for clients like American Red Cross, USO, and Harvard Business School of New York.

Volunteer Homepage Redesign, Communication platform
Overview
Once a strategy was figured out, I designed a new modern responsive volunteer homepage that aesthetically and functionally would give the Red Cross volunteers the necessary tools to responsibly and effectively accomplish their goals associated to their duties. Using HTML, SASS and JavaScript I was able to create a fully functional and interactive mockup which was later passed along to a developer.
Groupshare
Working with internal project managers, I have redesigned an existing tool that will be rolled out to clients. This tool will be fully responsive and allow for a more intuitive workflow. Having created the mockup in HTML and SASS, I would work closely with the developers to make sure the product is rolled out on time.
